ILC Eid Greetings Workshop, Share the Joy of Eid with Local Afghan Refugees

The ILC Youth Group is excited to invite you on Thursday, July 7, 6pm to 8pm to ILC Eid Greetings Workshop, Share the Joy of Eid with Local Afghan Refugees during which children and young adults will gather to write letters to and prepare goody bags for young Afghan refugees in Northern Virginia.

WHO: Kids and youth (boy or girl) from ages 7 to 13 can participate Insha-Allah.

WHAT: Gather to write Eid greeting cards and prepare goody bags for Afghan refugee children in Northern Virginia.

WHEN: Thursday, July 7, 2022, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

WHERE: International Learning Center Plus, 6573 Edsall Rd Springfield, VA 22151 Through this ILC hosted event, we hope to encourage our youth to share the joys of Eid with those who have had and continue to endure life altering difficulties. We hope to foster a greater sense of community and compassion by providing a creative means of communication between the youth who attend the workshop and their refugee peers.

All youth who wish to attend are encouraged to take part in this exciting workshop. ILC will be working with other local organizations to distribute the letters and goody bags to Afghan refugee children in the area on time for Eid al-Adha. We would like to wish you and your loved ones an early Eid Mubarak and hope to see youth from our community join.
